Pamela Kathleen Moran is a main character from the Lifetime television series Army Wives. She starred in the first five seasons of the show before leaving in the third episode of the sixth season. She returned as a guest star in two additional episodes. She is portrayed by Brigid Brannagh.
Pamela is the wife of former Delta Force officer Chase Moran and the mother of their two children, Katie and Lucas. She began the series pregnant with surrogate twins after her husbands spending habits became too frivolous for the family to support. Her pregnancy, and subsequently spike in income, made her the subject of gossip and vicious rumors on post. She gave birth on a pool table at The Hump Bar with help from Roxy LeBlanc, Denise Sherwood, Roland Burton, and Claudia Joy Holden. The shared experience bonded the group and they became fast friends.
Pamela's husband, Chase, joined Delta Force and left several times at a moments notice with no contact allowed with his family while deployed. This put a strain on their marriage and family, and Pamela often turned to Roxy for support. Pamela briefly had her own radio show called "Have At It" until the post canceled it. The strain of being a single mother and feeling unsupported, along with increasing arguments, led Pamela and chase to divorce. She moved off post so the kids could see Chase, and rejoined the police force. When Chase quit Delta to spend more time with his family, he and Pamela remarried at the Hump. He later took a job in California, and while Pamela tried to stay the rest of the school year with their kids, the after effects of the hurricane that swept through Charleston, SC made their home unlivable. For awhile, Pamela and the kids moved in with the LeBlanc's, but combined with her and the kids missing Chase, she decided to move to California to reunite with her husband.
Biography[]
Army Wives[]
Pamela began the series seven and a half months pregnant with surrogate twins to help her family financially. Her pregnancy turned her into an outcast at the post as vicious rumors and gossip spread about the paternity of the twins and how her family afforded the lavish items they accumulated. During a tea party at Claudia Joy Holden's, Pamela met newcomer Roxy LeBlanc, who helped her when her water broke. Roxy recruited Denise Sherwood, a former nurse, for help and trio hijacked Roland Burton's van only to be joined by Claudia Joy. Unable to deliver on post because of the surrogacy, the group drove to The Hump where Pamela delivered on the pool table.
The first thing you notice about Pamela Moran is her soft beauty, giving little clue to the tough, rebellious personality of this former Boston cop. In the past, the outspoken mom had a place to vent — on her own radio show, called “Have At It.” Pamela can handle a gun better than anyone, and no one intimidates her — not even her Delta Force husband turned ex-husband, Chase Moran, or the stalker she took down in Season 2. Pamela once ditched her police career to focus on her family, but she's back on the force now — and was even offered a detective position in Atlanta.
Pamela may have had to leave post after divorcing Chase in Season 4, but she still remains an honorary Army wife within her group of friends. And she may have a change of heart after Chase reveals that he is still in love with her.
Later through season 5, Chase and Pamela get remarried, and the family moves to California.
