Brian McNamara (b. November 21, 1960) is an American actor, known for his portrayal of Dean Karny in the TV Movie Billionaire Boys Club for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting role.

McNamara was born in Long Island,New York. He has had lead roles in numerous motion pictures including Arachophobia. He has guest starred in the television series Seinfelid, NYPD:Blue,St.Eleswhere, JAG, Ned & Stacey, The O.C.,Star Trek:Voyager Mad About You, Matlock,.Ellen, Murder,She Wrote, Murphy Brown, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He also starred in the 2000 television movie A Diva's Chirstmas Carol. One of his earliest roles was as Greg, Alex Keaton's friend who is killed in a car accident in the 1987 Family Ties episode "A, My Name Is Alex" for which the writer won an Emmy Award . He also starred in the Disney sci-fi tele-movie Eath Star Voyager and had a lead role on the TV series Manthan A.Z. in 2000. He had a starring role in the film The Legend of Tillamook's Gold. Most recently McNamara has a starring role as General Holden, husband of Claudia Joy Holden (Kim Delaney), on the Lifetime series Army Wives He guest starred in the NSIC:Los Angeles episode "Little Angles".
